In this episode, we are diving into the connection between mental clutter, burnout, and your libido with the incredible Dr. Julie Merriman—a PhD counselor and author of Are We Gonna Have Sex or What?. Are you struggling with menopause, weight gain, and tired of toxic diet culture? Can you reject traditional weight loss obsession and still want to lift heavy, build muscle, and optimize your midlife wellness?
In this episode, body image expert and Intuitive Eating Counselor Anne Poirier drops by to unpack how the wellness space got polarized. Somewhere along the way, body acceptance started getting interpreted as "you shouldn't care about your health," while wanting to feel strong, vibrant, and confident in your own skin got labeled as vanity or diet culture. Anne and Missy dive deep into the nuance of this conversation, showing why these two ideas don't have to be opposites—you can love your body exactly as it is while still prioritizing muscle mass, optimized lab results, and proper hormone health.
Anne shares powerful insights on overcoming decades of body shame through body neutrality, while Missy breaks down the vital science behind estradiol drops and how Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) supports your changing biology. Plus, they explore the messy middle ground of GLP-1 peptides, discussing how microdosing can safely quiet "food noise" to act as a supportive metabolic tool rather than a tool for self-punishment.
If you're ready to stop the constant self-criticism, bridge the gap between empowerment and health, and find a sustainable middle ground that gives your body permission to feel strong and capable, this one is for you!

Staring at a trendy wellness menu, wondering if those buzzy infusions are legitimate medicine or just a total waste of cash?
In this episode, functional medicine expert Jennifer Gularson drops by to cut through the hype and share what your body actually needs to jumpstart your energy and balance your chemistry.
We talk about how a leaky gut secretly blocks your vitamins, and why a clinical drip can be a total lifesaver while you're repairing your digestive system. Jennifer also demystifies what "hormone detox" really means—spoiler alert: it’s not about doing a miserable, restrictive cleanse, but rather helping your body naturally clear out estrogen through daily habits like pooping, sweating, and good sleep. Plus, she shares the ultimate safety playbook on how to take advantage of peptides and why she loves magnesium to shut down inflammation for good.
If you're ready to stop guessing and start biohacking safely, this one is for you!
